Notification System Incident

Resolved (9:18 AM PT): All systems are back to normal and operating as expected. We want to sincerely apologize to anyone who received an erroneous “rent overdue” notification this morning. We know that getting a message about overdue rent can be alarming (trust us, our hearts skipped a beat too when we saw what happened). Your rent status was never affected — this was entirely a hiccup on our end.
What happened: A system configuration issue with our messaging vendor caused our notification service to incorrectly send overdue rent alerts to a group of renters. Additionally, vendor dispatch links were temporarily inaccessible. Both issues have been identified, fixed, and safeguards have been put in place to prevent this from happening again.
Update (8:15 AM PT): Identified the root cause and began sending apology messages to all affected renters.
Detected (8:00 AM PT): Received reports of erroneous rent overdue notifications and vendor link failures. Began investigation.
